New identity reflects more than four decades of innovation supporting individuals, families, and communities across Georgia.
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA (September 1, 2026) — For more than 45 years, Hospice Savannah has been recognized as one of Georgia’s most trusted providers of compassionate end-of-life care. Today, the organization is announcing an exciting new chapter in its history with the launch of Georgia Care Innovators—a new organizational identity that reflects the remarkable growth of its mission and its vision for the future of healthcare.
While Hospice Savannah remains a cornerstone of the organization and will continue serving patients and families under its trusted name, Georgia Care Innovators brings together Hospice Savannah and its family of nonprofit organizations under one shared identity, united by a common purpose: improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities in Georgia through compassionate care and innovative solutions.
“Our story has never been defined by a single service,” said Kathleen Benton, President and CEO of Georgia Care Innovators. “It’s been defined by listening to our community, recognizing unmet needs, and asking how we can help. Again and again, that question has inspired us to create new programs that improve lives. Georgia Care Innovators reflects who we’ve become and our commitment to continuing that work for generations to come.”
Over the past four decades, the organization has expanded far beyond hospice care, developing programs that support people throughout some of life’s most challenging journeys. Today, the Georgia Care Innovators family includes:

Together, these organizations provide a comprehensive continuum of services supporting healthy aging, serious illness, hospice care, family caregivers, grief counseling, transportation, and programs that help older adults remain healthy, independent, and connected to their communities.
The new name reflects a philosophy that has guided the organization since its founding: when a community has an unmet need, compassionate organizations have a responsibility to respond.
“Healthcare continues to evolve, and so do the needs of the people we serve,” Benton said. “Innovation isn’t about technology or simply creating new programs. It’s about seeing where people are struggling and working together to build better answers. That’s what we’ve always done, and that’s what Georgia Care Innovators represents.”
The launch also reflects the organization’s long-term vision of helping Georgia become a national leader in compassionate, person-centered healthcare and healthy aging.
Although the organizational identity is changing, patients, families, donors, volunteers, and community partners can expect the same trusted care, the same dedicated team, and the same unwavering commitment that have defined Hospice Savannah for more than four decades.
“Our name may be new,” Benton added, “but our purpose remains exactly the same: helping people live with greater dignity, independence, comfort, and hope.”
