Founded by Our Community. Driven by Compassion. Inspired by Innovation. Georgia Care Innovators traces its roots to a simple but powerful belief: people facing serious illness deserve compassionate care, dignity, and support.

In 1979, community leaders, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and citizens came together to establish Hospice Savannah. What began as a grassroots effort grew into a trusted community resource and one of the region’s most respected healthcare organizations.

As the needs of patients and families evolved, so did our organization. Families needed support long before hospice care was appropriate. Caregivers needed education and guidance. Individuals living with serious illness needed specialized services. Children and families needed grief support.

Rather than limiting our focus, we chose to grow. From Hospice Savannah to Georgia Care Innovators. Today, Hospice Savannah remains at the heart of our organization and continues to provide the exceptional hospice care generations of families have trusted.

At the same time, our mission has expanded far beyond hospice care alone. That evolution led to the creation of Georgia Care Innovators, a name that better reflects the full scope of our work and our commitment to finding new and better ways to serve our community.
