Stretch, sip, and support a great cause this October as Savannah Power Yoga and Service Brewing Company come together for Live Yoga, Love Beer, a special fundraiser benefiting Hospice Savannah’s Edel Caregiver Institute.
The event takes place Saturday, October 31, from noon to 3 p.m. at Service Brewing Company and combines yoga, local beer, food and fun—all in support of the family caregivers in our community.
For $45, participants will enjoy a round-robin-style, 60-minute yoga class and one pint of beer. Purchase your ticket before October 15 and you’ll also receive a free limited-edition T-shirt or tank while supplies last.
Doors open at 11:15 a.m., with yoga beginning at noon and a raffle drawing at 2 p.m. Ark Royal will be on site serving food, and Service Brewing’s resident brew cat, Black Hawk, may even be available for a few back scratches.
Participants should bring a yoga mat, hand towel, props, and water bottle.
Supporting those who care for others
Proceeds from the event benefit the Edel Caregiver Institute, part of the Georgia Care Innovators family.
Family caregivers play an essential role in the lives of people who are aging, seriously ill or living with disabilities. Yet many step into that role with little training or preparation for the physical and emotional demands caregiving can bring.
Edel Caregiver Institute exists to support caregivers as they care for the people they love. Regardless of diagnosis or stage of illness, the Institute provides hands-on education, practical resources and emotional support to help caregivers navigate the journey with greater knowledge and confidence.

The Beer & Yoga event is part of this year’s Yoga for Hospice activities. On Sunday, October 25, from 2 to 4 p.m., a special Chair Yoga event will also be held for Edel Caregiver Institute at the Kole Center for PACE Georgia.
