Georgia Care Innovators Foundation

Founded to Protect Our Independence

In 1996, Hospice Savannah established the Hospice Savannah Foundation to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the organization and preserve its status as a free-standing, community-based nonprofit.

That decision reflected a simple belief:

Healthcare organizations are strongest when they remain accountable to the communities they serve.

Today, the Georgia Care Innovators Foundation continues that important work by helping provide financial support for Hospice Savannah, the Steward Center for Palliative Care, the Edel Caregiver Institute, Full Circle Grief & Loss Center, PACE Georgia, and other affiliated programs.

By investing in innovation, supporting compassionate care, and strengthening community resources, donors help ensure that Georgia Care Innovators remains independent, mission-driven, and responsive to evolving community needs.

Fueling Innovation Across the Continuum of Care

Many of the programs that distinguish Georgia Care Innovators would not exist without community support.

Foundation funding helps sustain and expand initiatives such as:

  • Hospice Savannah
  • Steward Center for Palliative Care
  • Edel Caregiver Institute
  • Full Circle Grief & Loss Center
  • PACE Georgia
  • Camp Aloha Children’s Grief Camp
  • Butterfly Program Pediatric Hospice Services
  • Music Therapy
  • Massage Therapy
  • Story Keeping
  • Veterans Programs
  • Pet Peace of Mind®
  • Dementia Education and Caregiver Support Programs

These programs reflect our belief that exceptional care extends beyond traditional healthcare services.

They are also powerful examples of what becomes possible when a community invests in its own future.
