Healing Arts & Supportive Therapies

Massage Therapy

Comfort Through the Healing Power of Touch

Therapeutic touch can be a powerful source of comfort.

Massage Therapist Jordyn Vital provides specialized massage therapy designed specifically for hospice and palliative care patients. Techniques are adapted to meet each patient’s unique needs and may help reduce pain, anxiety, tension, insomnia, and emotional distress.

Massage therapy can be provided in the patient’s home or in our Hospice Inpatient Unit and is carefully integrated into the patient’s overall plan of care.

Jordyn is also certified in grief massage, offering an additional source of support for individuals navigating loss and bereavement.

For many patients and families, massage therapy provides moments of peace, relaxation, and connection during a challenging time.

Story Keeping & Memory Keeping

Preserving a Life Well Lived

Every life has a story worth telling.

Story Keeping provides patients with an opportunity to share memories, life lessons, personal reflections, and messages of love with those who matter most.

Through guided conversations, recordings, written reflections, and memory projects, our Story Keepers help preserve important stories and create lasting gifts for family members and future generations.

Many families tell us these stories become treasured keepsakes that provide comfort long after a loved one’s passing.

Because preserving a person’s story is about more than remembering the past—it’s about honoring a life, celebrating relationships, and leaving a meaningful legacy.

Why These Services Matter

Many of the Healing Arts and supportive therapies offered through Hospice Savannah are available because of our nonprofit mission. As a nonprofit organization, we are able to reinvest resources into programs and services that enhance comfort, dignity, and quality of life for patients and families. Rather than focusing on shareholders or investors, our focus remains on identifying unmet needs and creating meaningful ways to support those we serve.

Community generosity also plays an important role. Through gifts to the Georgia Care Innovators Foundation, donors help make innovative programs such as music therapy, massage therapy, Story Keeping, grief support, caregiver services, and other specialized offerings possible.

These services are more than amenities. They are expressions of our belief that exceptional care should address not only physical needs, but also emotional, spiritual, and human needs. It is one more way our community helps us provide care that goes beyond the expected.

A Different Approach to Hospice Care

These therapies are offered because comfort is about more than physical care alone.

Whether through music, touch, storytelling, or simple human connection, our Healing Arts services help patients and families experience moments of joy, meaning, peace, and dignity throughout their hospice journey.

It is one more way Hospice Savannah continues to provide care that is compassionate, innovative, and centered on the needs of the whole person.
