Hospice care focuses on comfort, dignity, quality of life, and support for individuals facing a life-limiting illness.

Yes. We work closely with your physician and other healthcare providers.
Yes. Patients and families remain in control of healthcare decisions.
Patients whose condition stabilizes or improves may be discharged from hospice and return if services are needed again in the future.
Hospice eligibility is based on a patient’s condition, not a specific timeline. Services continue as long as eligibility criteria are met.
Care at Home and Inpatient Care
Most patients receive care wherever they call home, including private residences, assisted living communities, and nursing facilities.
Yes. Hospice Savannah operates the only dedicated Hospice Inpatient Unit (HIPU) in the region for short-term symptom management and caregiver respite.
No. Families remain primary caregivers while our interdisciplinary team provides visits, education, clinical support, and 24/7 on-call assistance.
Family Support and Special Services
Yes. Education, counseling, respite support, and guidance are available to caregivers throughout the hospice journey.
Yes. Through Full Circle Grief & Loss Center, we offer counseling, support groups, children’s programs, Camp Aloha, and educational workshops.
Programs may include music therapy, massage therapy, Story Keeping, veteran recognition, Pet Peace of Mind®, pediatric services, and caregiver support programs.
Yes. Hospice Savannah proudly recognizes veterans and provides specialized support addressing military service, trauma, and end-of-life issues unique to veterans.
