Merrill Boone

Merrill Boone serves as Chief Financial Officer for Georgia Care Innovators, providing strategic financial leadership that enables the organization to fulfill its mission of improving the lives of patients, families, and communities across Georgia. Since joining Hospice Savannah in 2019, he has guided the organization’s financial strategy, long-term planning, and fiscal sustainability, helping ensure the resources are in place to advance its vision, strengthen its family of nonprofit organizations, and expand its impact.

With more than four decades of healthcare finance and executive leadership experience, Merrill has held senior financial leadership positions with organizations including Kaiser Permanente of Georgia and Avow Hospice. A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, he has built a career helping mission-driven healthcare organizations achieve financial strength while supporting exceptional patient care.

Merrill is passionate about caring for patients at the end of life and supporting the families who walk that journey alongside them. He believes sound financial stewardship makes compassionate care possible, ensuring Georgia Care Innovators can continue investing in innovative programs, serving its communities, and fulfilling its mission for generations to come.
