Jamey Espina serves as Chief Development Officer for Georgia Care Innovators, overseeing the Georgia Care Innovators Foundation and advancing the philanthropic partnerships that make compassionate care, community programs, and continued innovation possible. Since joining Hospice Savannah in 2002, he has built lasting relationships with donors, civic leaders, and community organizations while helping develop sustainable resources for programs that improve lives across the region.
A Licensed Professional Counselor, Jamey earned his master’s degree in rehabilitation and mental health counseling from the University of South Florida. Before joining Hospice Savannah, he worked as a counselor and psychotherapist, including service with the Tampa AIDS Network during the HIV/AIDS crisis. That experience supporting seriously ill individuals and their families continues to inform his commitment to human connection, dignity, and equitable access to care.
Jamey is passionate about ensuring better care for aging Georgians and connecting community generosity with meaningful impact. A graduate of Leadership Savannah and a 2026 TEDxSavannah speaker, he brings warmth, creativity, and a deeply collaborative spirit to his work. He believes philanthropy is most powerful when it helps communities build the care and support their neighbors truly need.
